I am writing to express my strong interest in the Special Education Teacher position in your school. I am a qualified and passionate special education teacher with over five years of experience supporting learners with diverse educational needs, including Autism Spectrum Disorder, Down syndrome, learning disabilities, and behavioral challenges.
I hold a Bachelor of Education in Special Education from the University of Education, Winneba (Ghana), and I am trained in developing and implementing Individualized Education Plans (IEPs), behavior intervention strategies, and differentiated instruction to support inclusive learning environments. In my current and previous roles at Web’s Academy and Dzorwulu Special School, I have collaborated closely with multidisciplinary teams, classroom teachers, and families to promote academic growth, social development, and positive behavior outcomes for students.
Although I do not currently have legal authorization to work in the United States, I am fully qualified and eligible for the J-1 Exchange Visitor Teacher Program, which allows experienced international educators to teach in U.S. public schools. I am highly motivated to contribute my skills, global perspective, and commitment to inclusive education in your school.
I am particularly drawn to your district’s commitment to student-centered learning and support for diverse learners. I am confident that my experience, adaptability, and dedication to special education.
