About
I am a compassionate and dedicated Special Educator with a strong academic background and practical experience in inclusive and learner-centered education. I hold a Master of Philosophy (MPhil) in Special Education from the University of Education, Winneba, and I am deeply committed to supporting learners with diverse educational needs to achieve their fullest potential.
My professional journey has equipped me with extensive experience in developing and implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), applying differentiated instructional strategies, and supporting students with visual impairment, autism spectrum disorder, Down syndrome, and hearing impairment. I am particularly skilled in Braille literacy, assistive technology integration, functional vision assessment, and behavior intervention planning.
In my current role as a Special Educator and Resource Person at Happy Academy and Assessment Center, I design tailored interventions that foster academic growth, independence, and social-emotional development. I work collaboratively with families, therapists, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure holistic learner support.
Previously, my work at the University of Education, Winneba strengthened my expertise in accessible education, where I supported students with visual impairment through Braille transcription, assistive device training, and accessible learning materials. My internship experiences at the Salvation Army School for the Deaf and the Department of Social Welfare further broadened my skills in inclusive communication, advocacy, and community-based support.
