About
Dedicated Elementary School Teacher with 30 years of experience both in the Philippines and the US Virgin Islands. Works effectively with the general education students including students with Special Needs (partial blindness and learning disabilities) and English Language learners in the area of English Language Arts to develop a better understanding on the Whole Language Development Approach which is an integrated teaching on the four Language Arts Skills: Listening, Reading, Speaking, and Writing. Successful at helping students develop their critical thinking and improve academic performance.
When I was teaching at Lockhart Elementary School and Adelita Cancryn Intermediate and Junior High School, I've learned the use of Smarter Balanced which is an annual assessment on the learning outcome of the students for the entire school year. I've also learned the iReady which is an online instruction and assessment which helps teachers provide students the path to proficiency in English and Math. And I've also learned on Talent Ed which gives teachers a chance for Professional Development trainings and it is also a platform for classroom observation.
