About
I am a Mathematics Teacher position under the J-1 Program of Global Educational Concepts (GEC). With 24 years of experience in mathematics education, I am eager to contribute my expertise, leadership, and passion for teaching to your school community.
I am from the Philippines, currently serving as Department Head for Grades 7 and 8 Mathematics at Iligan City National High School, Iligan City, Philippines, where I also teach Grade 8 Mathematics. I hold a Bachelor of Secondary Education major in Mathematics, a Master of Arts in Teaching Mathematics, and a Doctor of Philosophy in Educational Management.
In addition to my regular teaching responsibilities, I teach Mathematics in the Open High School Program, providing flexible and individualized instruction to diverse learners. I have initiated and led programs such as the PLAY Math Enhancement Program and the Walk-In Tutorial Program to strengthen students’ foundational numeracy skills. Furthermore, I have served as a Regional Trainer for the Higher-Order Thinking Skills Professional Learning Packages (HOTS-PLPs), Revised K-10 Curriculum, and as a resource speaker for the MATATAG Curriculum, supporting teachers in curriculum alignment and effective instructional practices.
I am a resilient and adaptable educator who performs effectively under pressure. I value collaboration and work well as a team player, fostering positive relationships with colleagues, students, and stakeholders. Most importantly, I have a genuine passion for working with children and embrace the diversity of learners, recognizing and responding to their varied learning needs, abilities, and behaviors with patience, empathy, and respect.
