About
I am an elementary educator with 11 years of professional teaching experience, primarily in Grade 1. I hold a degree in Elementary Education with a major in Generalist Teaching, which has equipped me to effectively teach all core subject areas. Throughout my career, I have developed strong skills in classroom management, differentiated instruction, lesson planning, and student assessment.
I am especially passionate about early literacy and have served as a reading advocate, implementing structured daily reading routines and targeted interventions to support struggling readers. These efforts have contributed to improved reading fluency, comprehension, and learner confidence. My teaching approach emphasizes creating a nurturing, well-organized, and engaging learning environment where students feel safe, motivated, and supported. I work collaboratively with parents and colleagues and continuously seek professional growth to better serve diverse learners.
