About
I am a passionate and dedicated teacher of English Language and Literature Arts with 16 years of experience teaching learners with diverse backgrounds.
I hold a Bachelors Degree in Education Arts, A Master of Arts Degree in Linguistics and currently i am pursuing my PHD in linguistics which deepens my expertise in language education and communication ability.
Over the past 16 years i have assisted and taught learners at all levels ( elementary, middle and high school level). I value the use of literature and stories in class to foster critical thinking, spark curiosity and build students confidence in an engaging classroom.
My strength lies in the development and implementation of Individualized Education Programs to meet students with unique needs. I am also skilled in using technology, practice inclusivity and in building positive relationship with other teachers, students and other school communities to provide a stimulating learning environment.
I believe what sets me apart is my commitment to transforming education into a a vehicle for empowerment espevially for learners with diverse backgrounds. This vision drives my work not only in the classroom but in collaboration with communities as i advocate for a culturally aligned type of education.
My student's success is not only tied to their academic achievements, but in their ability to build and develop life long skills like self advocacy, independence, love for learning, resilience and confidence.
My teaching philosophy is that each learner is endowed with a capacity to learn therefore as an educator i provide a safe and inclusive learning environment to every learner.
