About
My name is Ernesto B. Lawas Jr., a secondary Mathematics teacher with 15 years of teaching experience. I am currently teaching in Ocaña National High School in Cebu, Philippines, as a 11th grade and 12th grade Mathematics Teacher. I want to express my interest in applying to be a teacher at your school.
I graduated with a Bachelor of Secondary Education major in Mathematics at Cebu Normal University in Cebu, Philippines, on March 23, 2010. I have completed 30 academic units toward the Master of Arts in Education major in Teaching Mathematics, a valid teaching background, and extensive experience in delivering mathematics instruction. I am eager to contribute to your school community by fostering meaningful and engaging learning experiences for students.
Throughout my teaching career, I have developed a strong commitment to student-centered instruction anchored in constructivist learning theory. I believe that students learn mathematics best when they are actively engaged in exploring concepts, solving real-world problems, and collaborating with peers to build their own understanding.
