My name is Umozurike Emmanuel, a professionally trained and certified art educator with over ten years of teaching experience in Fine and Applied Art and Cultural and Creative Arts (CCA) within the Nigerian education system. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Fine and Applied Art, a Postgraduate Diploma in Education (PGDE), and I am a licensed teacher with the Teachers Registration Council of Nigeria (TRCN). These qualifications establish me as a fully qualified professional educator with strong academic, artistic, and pedagogical competence.
My academic training in Fine and Applied Art provided me with a solid foundation in both theoretical and practical aspects of visual arts, including drawing, painting, sculpture, design, art history, and aesthetics. Through my PGDE, I gained professional expertise in instructional methods, curriculum development, educational psychology, classroom management, and assessment strategies. This combination of subject mastery and professional education enables me to deliver well-structured, engaging, and standards-based art instruction.
Throughout my teaching career, I have taught Cultural and Creative Arts (CCA) in accordance with the current Nigerian curriculum structure, integrating visual arts, cultural studies, and creative expression. I have been responsible for lesson planning, scheme of work development, continuous assessment, practical studio instruction, and examination preparation. My teaching approach emphasizes creativity, critical thinking, hands-on learning, and the use of culturally relevant materials to support student understanding and artistic development.
