About
Let me start by saying that teaching is activities teachers perform to reflect their philosophy of education .
I have been a Junior high and elementary school teacher of science, mathematics and social studies (my area of speacialization) for several years and taught at the senior high, junior high and elementary level.
While teaching, I feel good and happy when my students feel also good and happy because they learnt the key points of my teaching. When my students are not truly satisfied with the content of my teaching, I tell them that on the next lesson, I will explain to them what I have missed in the current lesson. I am not afraid of telling my students that there could be some occasions where I don't know. Indeed, there is always an unknown to be known, and the more we know the more ignorant we are, which they generally accept.
While teaching, I am more a mentor and organizer of learning experiences and situations, such that my students actively understand, reinvent and reconstrcut everything they learn, than a simple transmitter of ready made and established truths imposed on them from outside. In other words, I avoid indoctrination and brainwashing. This means that I make use of the active methods, not the traditional or conservative ones, and appeal to due technology when it is appropriate.
In addition, as a teacher Emmanuel, I'm deeply appreciative of the enriching experience I have had as educator in Ghana. The unwavering support from parents have been a remarkable aspect of my journey.Their involvement and encouragement not only enhance learning environment but also commitment to providing every child with the quality of education they truly deserve.My teaching philosophy is centered around creating a student-centered learning environment that encourages active participation, critical thinking, and creativity. I believe that every student has the potential to succeed, and it is my responsibility as an educator to provide the support and guidance necessary to help them achieve their goals. I do that by creating a live classroom community where students feel worthy to ask and answer questions.
As a dedicated and passionate educator, I have always been driven to create engaging and inclusive learning environments that foster academic excellence and personal growth. With 5 years of teaching experience, I possess a deep understanding of curriculum design, instructional strategies, and classroom management.
Throughout my teaching career, I have had the privilege of teaching Science, mathematics and English at both private and public schools. My experience has equipped me with the skills to:
- Develop and implement effective lesson plans that cater to diverse learning styles
- Employ innovative teaching methods, including technology integration and project-based learning
- Foster positive relationships with students, colleagues, and parents to promote a collaborative learning community
- Assess student progress and adjust instructional strategies to meet individual needs.
In addition to that I also have exceptional computer skills which will be useful to assist students in the computer lab various MS Office programs.I can assist colleague teachers with grading papers, research work, and other duties as required.
Familiar working in libraries, and I have experience in organizing and labeling books, cataloging,and creating acquisitions.Strong attention to detail that can ensure orders are properly filled and special requests honored.in addition,I also possess advanced knowledge to through the application of my abilities in student tutoring and test administration.Additionally , I possesa an expertise in audio and video technologies, breakdown and setting up furniture, and the credit goes to my high level of stamina, and physical agility.
I am eligible for the J-1 Teacher Visa, which allows qualified international educators to teach in the United States for up to 3–5 years. I plan to apply with Spirit Cultural Exchange, a U.S. Department of State designated sponsor for the J-1 Teacher Program. In my previous roles, I have successfully integrated technology, taken students on nature walk ,creatied live classroom community , improving student performance, leading initiatives, creating innovative lessons, and mentoring students.I bring strong classroom management skills, a commitment to student-centered instruction, and a passion for cultural exchange.
