About
My name is Emilyn D. Boganotan, an elementary teacher with 9 years of teaching experience. I am currently teaching at Biga-a Elementary School in Negros Oriental, Philippines as a 3rd grade teacher handling Mathematics, English, Science, and Social Studies. I have completed the online application in the district’s website. I am interested to apply as an elementary teacher in your school.
I graduated with a Bachelor in Elementary Education at Negros College in Negros Oriental, Philippines last March 2010. I pursued Master of Arts in Education major in Administration and Supervision at STI West Negros University in Negros Occidental, Philippines from June 2017 - July 2018 with 33 academic units. All children have strengths that should be recognized, celebrated, and used as a foundation for learning. I develop individualized strategies that highlight these strengths while addressing areas of growth. No two students are the same, which is why I embrace differentiation as a core instructional practice. I modify content, process, and assessment to suit the unique learning profiles of my students.
As an elementary educator, I create daily lesson plans based on the national standards with consideration of the students’ specific needs. I teach a small group of children and provide differentiated activities to meet students’ individual needs. I also employ strategies and techniques during instruction to improve the development of students’ cognitive, communication, and social skills. I made sure that I provide my students varied learning opportunities to help them achieve their best potentials. I also recognize the importance of fostering emotional intelligence, social skills, and character education alongside traditional academic knowledge. Encouraging resilience, empathy, and a sense of responsibility is just as important as teaching facts and figures.
My goal is to instill in my students a passion for learning and the skills to become independent learners. I hope to cultivate in them a curiosity that extends far beyond the elementary years and motivates them to explore, question, and discover throughout their lives. Recognizing the diverse learning styles and abilities of young learners, I embrace an individualized approach to instruction. I strive to meet students at their unique developmental levels, tailoring lessons to cater to their strengths and providing support where needed. Differentiated instruction allows each child to progress at their own pace, ensuring a positive and inclusive learning experience.
