About
I am Emile Kodjo Vanga, a Physics teacher at Accra Girls' Senior High School in Ghana. I hold a BSc. Physics education degree from the University of Education, Winneba – Ghana, a Diploma in Basic Education where I majored Science and Mathematics in teaching ages 13 to 15 from the University of Cape Coast – Ghana. I am a license teacher from Ghana and also hold qualify teacher status (QTS) from the Department for Education, UK.
In addition to that, I have six and half (7) years teaching experience working with the Ghana Education Service. I taught Science and Mathematics for four years at Hinii Municipal Assembly (M/A) Junior High School (J.H.S), Physics for six (6) months at Methodist Senior High School and currently in my third academic year teaching Physics and in one of the best girls’ public senior high school, Accra Girls’ Senior High School in Ghana. I served as a form master, examination lead coordinator and a field trip coordinator at Hinii M/A J.H.S. I am currently a form master at Accra Girls’ Senior High School. I understand the need for teachers to meet curriculum standards for student to excel in their academic endeavor. I am well vest in the curriculum of West African Schools and as a fast learner, I am ever ready to be trained as a teacher for international curriculum to meet any School standard that seeks to employ me.
The following are my areas of strength; lesson preparation and delivering, engaging students throughout the lesson, effective instructional pedagogies that aids diverse learners, assessing students’ progress, providing feedback and adjusting instructional methods through remedial teaching, integrating technology to teaching and learning, creating conducive classroom environment and promoting inquiry and project-based learning as my favorite area of teaching all Science related subjects. I work hard to provide support individual student and more patience to special student and also possesses good communication skills and intrapersonal relationship with colleagues. I shot fall in keeping students names which has been my greatest challenge and I am working toward that.
I am an active teacher when it comes to extra-curricular activities. In my former school, I was the volley ball coach and very good at that. I led the school volley team for the first time to reach finals during the Municipal Schools competition. At my current school, in am an active member assisting the physical education teacher in training the volley ball team. I am also the Narcotic club coordinator in the school.
