About
Dear Sir/Madam!
Good day!
My name is Elena Sumayang Fortaliza, an elementary teacher with 11 years of teaching experience. I am currently teaching at Libertad Elementary School in Leyte, Philippines as a 3rd grade teacher handling English, Math, and Science. I have completed the online application in the district’s website. I want to express my interest to apply as a teacher in your school.
I graduated with a Bachelor of Elementary Education at Abuyog Community College in Leyte, Philippines last April 20, 2012. I pursued Master of Arts in Education major in Pre-elementary Education at Asian Development Foundation College from July 14, 2014-present with 45 academic units. As a teacher, my educational philosophy is grounded in the belief that the early years of education are foundational in shaping a child's lifelong love for learning. I am committed to providing a nurturing and inclusive environment where each student is valued, supported, and encouraged to explore their curiosity, develop essential skills, and build a strong foundation for academic success and personal growth.
Creating a positive classroom culture is foundational to my philosophy. I prioritize the development of a safe, supportive, and inclusive learning environment where students feel valued and respected. Through clear expectations, positive reinforcement, and a focus on collaboration, I aim to create a space where students are motivated to take risks, make mistakes, and learn from each experience. I believe young children learn best through play, which allows them to explore, imagine, and discover the world around them. Play-based learning helps children develop foundational cognitive, social, and motor skills in a way that feels natural and joyful. By incorporating purposeful play, I create a stimulating environment where children feel free to learn through active engagement. Early childhood is a crucial time for social-emotional development. I prioritize teaching empathy, self-regulation, and cooperation, helping children build positive relationships and understand their emotions. By fostering social-emotional growth, I prepare children for successful interactions, resilience, and a positive sense of self.
I am a team player. I try my best to contribute my skills and resources for the benefit of my team and the school in general. I am willing to do an interview in your most convenient time. My email address is elenafortaliza27@gmail.com.Please see attached resume for your reference.
Sincerely yours,
Elena Sumayang Fortaliza
