About
I am a dedicated and compassionate Special Needs and English Language Teacher with over 4 years of professional teaching experience working with students in inclusive classrooms. My passion lies in supporting learners with diverse educational and intellectual abilities to reach their full potential through engaging, personalized, and structured learning experiences.
I hold a bachelor’s degree in special education (Intellectual Disabilities) from the University of Education, Winneba (2020). Since graduating, I have successfully applied my training in inclusive education, behavioral management, and differentiated instruction to foster positive learning outcomes among students with varying learning needs.
At Sunflower School, where I currently teach Grades 1–5, I deliver lessons in English Language Arts, Numeracy/Mathematics, Social Studies, and Daily Living Skills. I take pride in creating lesson plans tailored to individual learning styles while maintaining a supportive classroom environment. I also implement innovative teaching strategies that promote teamwork, critical thinking, and peer collaboration, ensuring that every student—regardless of their ability—feels valued and motivated.
During my internship at Dorwulu Special School, I gained hands-on experience teaching English and special needs education to pupils aged 6–13. I designed and administered assessments to monitor progress and coordinated engaging classroom activities that nurtured both academic and social growth.
Beyond teaching, I have served in additional roles such as Grade English Team Leader and Welfare Committee Member, where I demonstrated leadership, teamwork, and organizational skills.
