About
My name is Doris Cheruto. I am a licensed and professionally trained teacher with 13 years of classroom teaching experience.
I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Special Needs Education with a specialization in Geography and Kiswahili and literature from Kenyatta University. I have taught in public and private schools, working with students from diverse academic, cultural, and learning backgrounds.
In my teaching practice, I focus on student-centered instruction, effective classroom management, and engaging lessons aligned to curriculum standards. I am experienced in lesson planning, learner assessment, differentiation, and creating inclusive, supportive learning environments that promote academic growth.
My strengths include clear communication, adaptability, professionalism, and collaboration with colleagues, parents, and school leadership to support student success.
I am highly motivated to teach in the United States through the J-1 Teacher Exchange Program and contribute positively to both the school community and the cultural exchange experience.
Thank you for your time and consideration.
