About
I am an experienced and dedicated educator with over 10 years of teaching experience, specializing in History, Social Studies, Government, and Kiswahili Language. I hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Education (Arts), majoring in English and Literature, and have extensive experience working with learners in international and academically rigorous school environments.
I have gained significant professional experience at Riara Schools and Crawford International School, where I taught diverse groups of learners and developed strong expertise in curriculum delivery, lesson planning, assessment, classroom management, and differentiated instruction. My experience in these schools has equipped me with the ability to create engaging learning environments that encourage critical thinking, effective communication, historical analysis, and an understanding of society and government.
I have extensive experience teaching the Cambridge curriculum, particularly IGCSE History, as well as History and Government within the Kenyan education system. I have also taught Kiswahili Language and have a strong understanding of language development, communication skills, and culturally responsive teaching. My experience as a Cambridge and KNEC examiner has further strengthened my knowledge of assessment standards, marking schemes, assessment objectives, and effective evaluation of student learning.
As an educator, I am committed to helping students become critical thinkers, responsible citizens, and confident communicators. I am adaptable and comfortable working with students from diverse cultural and educational backgrounds. I also value collaboration with colleagues, parents, and school communities to support student achievement.
