About
I am a licensed English teacher with 11 years of teaching experience, including 10 years in public schools and 1 year in a private school in the Philippines. I also have experience teaching English online to Japanese learners, focusing on conversational English and test preparation such as Eiken and TOEIC. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Secondary Education major in English, have completed graduate-level units, and possess a Maryland U.S. Teaching License as well as a SpanTran Foreign Credential Evaluation.
I am experienced in delivering student-centered, technology-integrated instruction and in managing diverse learners at the junior and senior high school levels. Throughout my career, I have developed strong skills in lesson planning, curriculum implementation, ICT integration, classroom management, and differentiated instruction to support varying student needs.
Beyond classroom teaching, I have actively mentored students in research, journalism, and public speaking, and have served as an adviser for school clubs. I have also presented research at an international conference in Thailand and have published work in conference proceedings. Additionally, I have served as a demonstration teacher at the school, district, division, and regional levels.
My teaching philosophy focuses on creating a supportive and engaging learning environment where students feel confident using English in meaningful ways. I aim to develop their communication skills, critical thinking, and ability to apply learning beyond the classroom.
I am currently based in the Philippines and open to relocation to the United States for teaching opportunities.
