Greetings.

I am writing to express my interest in your job opening at your school. I believe that my educational background, work experience and personality match the job requirements that is why I am interested in applying.

After finishing my bachelor’s degree in Secondary Education major in English and passing the Licensure Examination for Teachers (Note: Licensed Secondary School Teachers are also eligible to teach in the Elementary School in my home country.), I have started my career in the field of ESL (English as a Second Language) education in my home country Philippines by teaching adult Japanese, Korean and Vietnamese students. I have taught ESL at Pines International Academy-Philippines. After that, I have decided to embark on a teaching career overseas to enhance my teaching skills. First, I have taught in Thailand for three years to diverse ages. I have been teaching Grade 1 to 6 Elementary students in a Private Bilingual Elementary School during my stay in Thailand. I have taught Morals and Health Education subjects with English as a medium of instruction for three years. Second, I have decided to come to Japan and have worked as an English Conversation Teacher to diverse ages. To add to that, I have been teaching English as an ALT (Assistant Language Teacher) to Public Japanese Elementary (from 1st grade to 6th grade) and Junior High Schools both as a Lead Teacher (T1) and Assistant Teacher (T2) for almost six years. I have also taught at an International Baccalaureate (IB) recognized International School (Abroad International School) in Osaka, Japan as a Grade 1 Homeroom Teacher implementing the IB PYP curriculum. In addition, I was also an English as an Additional Language Teacher where I supported and taught students who were struggling in English. I have recently worked at an International Preschool in Kyoto, Japan from Mondays to Fridays where I have taught English and Robotics to Preschool students. I have also taught English Test preparation afterschool class to Elementary School students besides from being a Preschool Teacher. Furthermore, I hold a TEFL (Teaching English as a Foreign Language) Certificate. With my broad experience teaching different levels and ages of students, I am confident that I can contribute to your school and students’ success. I am trainable, a team player and an open-minded person so I believe that I can fit well with your school as a whole and its working environment.

I wish to start a new challenge where I can fully use my skills and educational background, but also further develop them at the same time teaching my students the best way I can.
