I also have strong skills in classroom management and student engagement, ensuring that learning environments remain organized, inclusive, and supportive for all learners.
As a Reading Coordinator for several years, I have developed expertise in literacy instruction, reading intervention programs, and student assessment strategies aimed at improving comprehension and reading fluency.
I am trained in Basic Sign Language, which allows me to communicate more effectively with diverse learners and support inclusive education practices. I am also skilled in preparing instructional materials and presentations using digital tools such as Canva and Google Workspace (Google Docs, and Google Sheets).
In addition, I have experience in collaboration and teamwork, working closely with fellow teachers, parents, and school stakeholders to support student development and school programs. My name is Corazon Aba-a, a dedicated and passionate educator from the Philippines with more than eight years of teaching experience in elementary education. Throughout my career, I have been committed to creating a positive learning environment where students can develop academically, socially, and emotionally.
For the past seven years, I have served as a Reading Coordinator, where I have led various reading programs and interventions to improve students' literacy skills. This role has strengthened my leadership, organizational, and communication abilities while allowing me to work closely with teachers, parents, and school administrators to support student success.
I continuously seek opportunities for professional growth and development. I have completed training in Basic Sign Language which has enhanced my ability to communicate effectively with diverse learners and promote inclusive education. I strongly believe that every child deserves equal access to quality education regardless of their background or abilities.
In addition to my teaching experience, I am currently pursuing a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree at Holy Cross of Davao College, where I have already completed 18 academic units and continue my studies. This academic pursuit reflects my commitment to lifelong learning and educational excellence.
