About
My name is Clemente Malinta Imbalat, and I am a Mathematics teacher with 17 years of teaching experience. I am currently working as a sixth-grade mathematics teacher at Prachaniwet School in Bangkok, Thailand.
I graduated with a Bachelor of Secondary Education in Mathematics from Saint Mary's University in Nueva Viscaya, Philippines, on May 26, 2003. I earned my Master of Management with a focus on Educational Management from the Philippine Christian University in Cavite, Philippines, on April 15, 2023. Mathematics should inspire curiosity and a sense of wonder. I aim to make math enjoyable by using games, puzzles, and creative activities in my lessons. By creating a positive and enthusiastic learning
environment, I help students develop a genuine interest in the subject. This philosophy emphasizes the joy of discovery and exploration.
As a Mathematics teacher, I believe in the power of active learning to strengthen mathematical understanding. In my Mathematics classroom, I emphasize conceptual understanding over rote memorization. My goal is to help students understand the "why" behind mathematical procedures, allowing them to connect concepts and develop a
deeper comprehension. Using visual aids, manipulatives, and real-world examples, I
guide students in discovering the logic and reasoning behind mathematical ideas.
Mathematics education should link theory with real-world application. I design lessons that show how Math relates to different careers, daily life, and societal issues, helping
students see its relevance beyond the classroom. By connecting abstract concepts to real-life situations, I make Math more engaging and meaningful, preparing students to
use their knowledge effectively.
I am a team player. I always aim to contribute my skills and resources to benefit both my team and the school as a whole.
