Skills
My main skills are in elementary education, especially teaching young learners in first and second grade. I have experience in classroom management, lesson planning, differentiated instruction, student assessment, and supporting children with different learning needs. I use active and student-centered teaching methods, including hands-on learning, educational games, project-based learning, learning centers, and independent workshops. I have also completed training in outdoor education and enjoy using nature and the environment as learning resources. In addition, I have experience in curriculum development, educational content creation, project management, team coordination, writing, editing, proofreading, translation, localization, and quality review. I'm creative, organized, patient, adaptable, and committed to creating a positive and inclusive learning environment.
About
Hello! My name is Charlotte, I'm 36, and I come from Belgium.
I am also the mother of two children: Matheo and Charlie.
I have been an elementary school teacher for ten years. I have taught different grade levels, but most of my experience is with first and second grade students. I currently teach first grade.
I love creating a warm, positive, and engaging classroom where children can learn through games, hands-on activities, and independent workshops.
I would love to teach in the United States because I'm very inspired by American teaching methods. I also see this experience as a wonderful opportunity to grow professionally, discover a new culture, improve my English, and share the French language and Belgian culture with my students.
I am very excited about this new adventure, and I hope to have the opportunity to bring my experience, enthusiasm, and creativity to an American school.
