About

Experienced secondary English and Literature educator and academic leader with 9+ years of post-degree teaching experience across secondary and higher education. I teach English Language and Literature across Grades 9–12 and have extensive experience managing large, diverse classrooms, designing instruction and assessments, mentoring teachers, and supporting academic achievement.

I currently serve as Dean of Studies and English & Literature Teacher at St. Joseph’s Ngong Secondary School in Kenya, where I lead academic planning, curriculum implementation, assessment, learner-progress monitoring, and teacher support. I have taught classes of up to approximately 65 students and bring a strong learner-centered, communicative, and skills-based approach to instruction.

I am also a curriculum developer and Kenya Institute of Curriculum Development (KICD)-approved co-author of English Learner’s Books used in Kenya’s national curriculum. My academic background includes a B.Ed. in English and Literature, an M.A. in Translation, and a Ph.D. in Applied Linguistics in progress. I hold a TOEFL iBT score of 98, and my international and cross-cultural experience includes participation in the Ship for World Youth program in Japan.

My credential evaluation and accreditation evaluation have been completed. I am committed to creating inclusive, engaging English learning environments that strengthen students’ communication, literacy, critical thinking, and academic confidence.
