About
I am a dedicated English Language Arts educator with experience teaching middle school, high school, and IB Diploma Programme courses in an international school setting. I teach Pre-AP, AP Seminar, IB Language & Literature, Creative Writing, CAS, and TOK, and I also serve as an Extended Essay supervisor and CAS Coordinator. My work centers on helping students think deeply, write clearly, and connect learning to real-world issues.
In my classroom, I focus on strong literacy skills, inquiry-based learning, and student voice. I design lessons that are structured, engaging, and supportive of diverse learners, including multilingual students. I use data from tools like i-Ready and College Board frameworks to guide instruction, provide targeted feedback, and support steady academic growth.
Beyond the classroom, I take an active leadership role through curriculum planning, teacher collaboration, student mentoring, and school-wide initiatives such as Model United Nations, CAS projects, and community engagement events. I am committed to reflective practice, inclusive education, and creating learning environments where students feel challenged, supported, and confident in their abilities.
