About
Dear Sir,
I am writing to express my interest to teach in the USA as an internationally trained and experienced educator on a J-1 placement. I am a teacher with over 13 years of work experience in Primary and Junior Secondary school teaching in Nigeria.
I started my career of teaching in 2013 as a full time/regular teacher with the Rivers State Universal Basic Education Board. Between 2013 and 2018, taught at the primary-school level; substantial classroom experience teaching young learners and prescribed curriculum. In 2018, I was transferred to Community Junior Secondary School, where I have continued to teach in classes JSS 1 to 3.
My teaching experiences covers both primary and junior secondary schools teaching, and included regular teaching, lesson planning, learner assessment, management of the learners, teaching of curriculum and inclusive responsibilities of a government teacher. My approach is student centered, focusing on building a supportive and inclusive environment where every student can thrive.
I hold a Bachelor's degree in History, a Master's degree in Diplomacy from the University of Port Harcourt in Nigeria. In addition to these, I hold a Postgraduate degree in Education from the University of Port Harcourt in Nigeria, and I am certified by the Teacher's Registration Council of Nigeria.
I am seeking teaching opportunities in the USA where my qualification and experience may apply and aligned. My subject of interest includes, but not limited to, the discipline of Humanities, Social Studies with an emphasis in History, Civic Education, Citizenship and related subjects.
If I am offered a teaching opportunity, I am willing to relocate to the USA. I would require a visa sponsorship and work permit to be eligible to work in the USA.
