About
I am a highly experienced and dedicated Science educator with over 18 years of teaching experience in international and national school settings. I specialize in Biology and Chemistry and have successfully delivered a range of curricula including Cambridge IGCSE, Edexcel IAL, AP, the Kenyan system, and the American curriculum.
I hold a Bachelor of Education in Science and a valid teaching license from Kenya. Throughout my career, I have consistently achieved strong academic outcomes, including 100 percent pass rates, by combining high expectations with effective, student centered teaching approaches.
Currently, I teach at Woodland Star International School, where learning is driven through a project based and mastery approach. This has strengthened my ability to promote critical thinking, inquiry, and real world application of scientific concepts. I am highly skilled in differentiating instruction, supporting diverse learners, and creating inclusive classroom environments.
In addition to teaching, I bring leadership experience as a Head of science Department and Sixth Form Coordinator. I have mentored teachers, contributed to curriculum development, and led academic improvement initiatives. I am passionate about STEM education, student mentorship, and fostering lifelong learners.
I am now seeking international teaching opportunities, particularly in the United States, where I can contribute my expertise while continuing to grow professionally in a dynamic and collaborative environment.
