About
I am a Mathematics teacher from Ghana with over ten years of experience teaching at the Senior High School level. I hold a Master of Philosophy (MPhil) in Mathematics Education and have a strong commitment to improving student learning through effective and student-centered instructional practices.
Throughout my career, I have developed skills in lesson planning, classroom management, and differentiated instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners. As a Mathematics Intervention Coordinator, I have worked closely with struggling students by designing targeted support strategies, which contributed to improved performance in external examinations. I also use continuous assessment and data to guide instruction and support student progress.
My academic background has equipped me with strong research and analytical skills, including the use of statistical tools such as SPSS, and I am currently developing skills in Python to enhance my data analysis capabilities. My research on language and mathematics learning has helped me better support students from diverse linguistic and cultural backgrounds.
I am highly adaptable, culturally aware, and committed to creating a positive and inclusive learning environment. I am eager to contribute my teaching experience while learning from the U.S. educational system. I am particularly motivated by the opportunity to promote cross-cultural understanding, share my Ghanaian culture, and grow professionally through the J-1 Teacher Exchange Program.
I am confident that my experience, skills, and passion for teaching make me a strong candidate to contribute effectively to a diverse school community.
