Dr. Yacon (Doc Ae), the Managing Director of Don Bosco Educational Centers—a network of Don Bosco schools—has built a career deeply rooted in education and lifelong learning. His early experiences teaching English and literature to diverse learners in international school settings honed his communication and instructional skills, while his years in formal schooling environments strengthened his expertise in curriculum design, classroom management, and academic leadership.
His pursuit of advanced studies—a Master of Arts in Literature and Language Instruction and a Ph.D. in Education major in Educational Leadership—reflects his commitment to excellence and continuous growth. These experiences have shaped his holistic understanding of both pedagogy and leadership, enabling him to guide educators and institutions with insight and purpose.
Beyond the classroom and the educational network, Dr. Yacon’s passion for literature and public speaking has allowed him to share his knowledge through lectures and webinar on reading, writing, and literary criticism, contributing to the broader community of educators and learners. He has also served as a panel moderator at local and international fora and conferences, discussing topics such as campus and education ministry in contemporary contexts, governance in DVUCAD or BANI world and education policy, 21st-century digital and technological advances including AI, TVET policy, campus journalism, and other emerging educational trends. Additionally, he has co-authored materials on inclusivity and mental wellness, further supporting the professional growth and well-being of educators and learners alike.
