My name is Amie Abrera, and I am from Philippines. I am currently teaching as an Elementary Teacher in the Department of Education Philippines. And I am doing this job for almost 29 years that includes my experiences teaching all the subjects in all different grade levels in the elementary. Teaching is not just my profession—it is my passion. I believe education transforms lives. I applied teaching abroad because I want to grow professionally, share my culture, and learn from the U.S. education system.” I may not have same experiences as US teachers today have but my ability to learn quickly, my desire to grow professionally, my passion to teaching, and my collaborative skills, my resiliency and sympathetic attitude would be my best assets to become an excellent US teacher.
