About
I am a qualified Mathematics teacher with 8 years of classroom experience in Ghana, teaching Junior and Senior High School students. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics Education, Diploma in Basic Education and am licensed by the Ghana Education Service. I also have a Qualified Teacher Status with Teacher Reference Number: 2360862 by the Teacher Regulatory Agency in the UK.
I have taught both the WAEC/GES and Cambridge IGCSE curricula, covering algebra, trigonometry, statistics, and calculus. My approach is student-centered, using problem-based learning, real-life examples, and tools like GeoGebra to make abstract concepts accessible. I regularly analyze assessment data to identify gaps and adjust instruction, which helped raise my students’ WAEC Math pass rate from 62% to 84% over three years.
Beyond teaching, I led the Math department in curriculum planning and mentored three new teachers. I coached our Math Olympiad team to 2nd place regionally in 2024 and ran an after-school remedial program that supported 40+ students in passing their final exams. I was recognized as District Teacher of the Year in 2022. I am eager to exchange teaching practices in the U.S. while sharing Ghanaian culture.
