Lookout Mountain Elementary is a K-5 elementary community school located on Lookout Mountain, TN. LMES has been the cornerstone of Lookout Mountain, Tennessee, since 1878. We have a highly involved parent population, who with the community, support our endeavors on behalf of children.

We are looking for teachers who are professional, reliable, collaborative, highly qualified, knowledgeable of Tennessee content state standards and willing to work with our involved and supportive families.

Responsibilities

Plan, deliver, and assess effective instruction aligned to Tennessee state standards
Design engaging lessons with clear objectives and measurable outcomes
Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of all learners
Collaborate regularly with colleagues and support staff
Build strong, respectful relationships with students and families
Create a well-managed, structured classroom environment
Participate in ongoing professional development and reflection

Experience in Title I or high-need school settings is a plus

Qualifications

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree required
Valid Tennessee teaching license in Elementary Education (K-5) OR current enrollment in an accredited teacher preparation program

Compensation & Additional Info:

Salary Scale based on education and experience – starting at $50,000.00
Eligible positions may qualify for additional pay under the Differentiated Compensation Plan
